Newborn session with family dog

Safety of my clients is number one priority for me when it comes to newborn photo shoots. I have two dogs myself and adore animals. They are part of the family. Incorporating pets to newborn session is something I do – I have my system for smoothly running session.

I always schedule dog’s photographs taken as first (alone) – then dog is whisked away by dad or other designated family member. Dog leaves the studio, we carry on session as usual. Later on I would take images of baby alone in the same set up. I use editing software to put two together. I never allow dog and baby in the same shot, just to be on the safe side.
