I remember searching for things to do with your children in Portsmouth and have covered most of them now. Great experience and wanted to share it with you.

We have done most of attractions in the area already, but when my friend Kate mentioned a boat trip around Gunwharf Quays, I have added it to my to do with Miles list! We have ventured on Sunday afternoon with grandparents. Tickets were easily bought from kiosk not far from Spinnaker Tower and we joined the que. Times and dates – I have added link at the end to Portsmouth Boat Trips. Some people had prams with them (you are only permitted prams and pushchairs on lower area), drinks are sold on-board. There is also a toilet on-board.

We have gently cruised along harbour listening guide. You could be upstairs or in sheltered downstairs area. Views were amazing- I especially liked having a good look at HMS Queen Elizabeth. At one point you could see both QE and HMS Warrior aligned in one view – it was a very clear difference in size. Trip lasted around 50 minutes and it was enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely recommend going for an adventure with your children, especially school age children. Not only an enjoyable experience but lots of information about our local heritage.

If you are looking for things to to in Portsmouth, this is great activity, whatever the age.
